May 1, 2010 -Hot Duck Soup, novelty jazz band
Hot Duck Soup, a novelty jazz band follows in the footsteps of Ragtime and Dixieland bands of long ago with an admiring nod to the Hoosier Hotshots, Spike Jones' City Slickers and Weird Al Yankovik. The band is comprised of five members: John Richards (banjo and vocals), Claudia Dunaway (ukulele, cornet), Rob Levin (guitar and vocals), Tim Clark (washtub bass and musical saw), and Joy Boothe (cacophonium and vocals). Hot Duck Soup plays old tunes like you’ve never heard them played; you’ll laugh, sing along and probably want to dance! Hot Duck Soup CD’s and T shirts will be available at the concert. For more info or to listen to them, visit their website at www.hotducksoup.net
